How the mobile service works, where we cover, what the warranty covers, how the buy-back works — the questions our customers actually ask, with the answers we give. If yours isn't here, message us on WhatsApp and we'll add it.
No — and that's the point. We don't have a storefront, so there's no driving across town, no parking, and no waiting on a bench. We bring the workshop to your home, office, school, gym, or anywhere in our service area. For complex jobs, we pick up your phone and return it within 2 days, free.
On-the-spot: a technician drives to your address with a fully stocked mobile kit and fixes the phone at your door. Best for screens, batteries, charging ports and cameras. Available in core zones only.
Pickup & return: we collect the phone from any address in Trinidad & Tobago, repair it at our workshop, and bring it back — usually same day, definitely within 2 days. Best for water damage, motherboard work, tablets and laptops. Free pickup and return.
Most on-the-spot bookings are same-day in the core zones (Port of Spain, Central, South, East, North-East). Next-day for extended zones. We confirm the exact time when we reply to your booking request, usually the same day. Open Monday – Saturday, 9 AM – 5 PM.
Port of Spain & West, Central (Chaguanas, Couva, Cunupia), East & North-East (Arima, Tunapuna, Trincity), and South (San Fernando, Marabella, Princes Town, Debe). Tobago and remote areas use the pickup & return service instead. See the full coverage map here.
You or someone you trust needs to be at the address to hand over the phone and sign the work order. If you're at work, we can repair at your office desk. If you're busy and want to give the phone to a family member or colleague, that works too — just let us know in advance.
Yes. The technician works in a meeting room or corner desk and you get your phone back the same visit. Most office repairs draw a small crowd, but they're not loud or messy — just a steady-handed technician with a magnetic mat and a few tools.
No. Screen, battery, camera, charging port and back glass repairs don't touch your storage. Your photos, contacts, WhatsApp history and apps stay exactly where they are. For water damage cases where the motherboard is affected, we always try data recovery first and tell you the odds upfront before any work.
Most on-the-spot repairs (iPhone and Samsung screens, batteries, charging ports and cameras) are finished the same visit. Water damage and motherboard work takes 2–4 hours and we keep the phone at the workshop, returning it same day or next. Tablets and laptops run 24–72 hours depending on parts.
Yes. Hairline cracks let dust and moisture into the LCD layer. In Trinidad's humidity, what looks like a small crack today often becomes a fully dead display in two or three months. A 25-minute fix now is cheaper than a full LCD replacement later, and the phone is much more comfortable to use in the meantime.
Yes — on any iPhone 13 Pro and up, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and up, we use OLED panels that fully support the higher refresh rate. You won't notice a difference from the original display, except no more crack down the middle.
Nine times out of ten it's the battery. Go to Settings → Battery → Battery Health on iPhone, or dial *#*#4636#*#* on Android (Samsung) — if the maximum capacity is below 80%, the battery is the cause. Send us the screenshot on WhatsApp and we'll confirm before quoting you.
Don't charge it. Don't plug it in. Don't put it in rice — that myth does more harm than good because starch gets into the port. If the phone is on, power it down. If it's off, leave it off. Wrap it in a dry cloth and book a pickup — the faster we open it and ultrasonic-clean the board, the better the recovery odds.
Possibly. Salt water is the most damaging kind because it corrodes the board quickly, but we see a lot of it. The first 24 hours matter most. Book a pickup (powered off, in a bag, don't rinse it with fresh water) and we'll do an ultrasonic clean and a board inspection before quoting. No recovery, no charge.
Sometimes. If the frame is bent, the new screen won't sit flat and is at risk of cracking again. We'll tell you during the diagnostic whether frame straightening is needed, give you a separate quote, and only proceed if you approve it.
Yes, but the inner flexible display takes 24–48 hours and the cost is significantly higher than a standard screen. We'd book this as a pickup & return rather than on-the-spot. Message us on WhatsApp with your model number and we'll give you a same-day quote.
Yes — via pickup & return. iPad screens, batteries and charging ports are all in our wheelhouse, with 24–48 hour turnaround. We also work on Samsung Galaxy Tab and basic Amazon Fire tablets. Book a pickup and message us the model number.
Yes, via pickup & return — screen replacements, battery swaps, keyboard repairs and SSD / RAM upgrades. Turnaround is 24–72 hours depending on parts. We don't do logic board-level repairs in-house but can refer you to a trusted partner if needed.
Yes, no problem. Network lock status doesn't affect the physical repair. As long as the phone itself works on that network, we can fix it.
30 days, written on the warranty card the technician gives you on the spot. It covers any part we install and any workmanship issue tied to that repair. If the same problem returns within 30 days, we fix it again at no charge — no arguments, no fine print.
OEM-grade panels from a small group of tested suppliers for most repairs — the same factories that produce for the legitimate aftermarket channel. Genuine Apple and Samsung panels are available on request, with a 2–3 day wait and a higher price. We'll always tell you what's going on your phone before we start.
No — our on-the-spot prices are the same as walk-in prices at comparable repair shops in Trinidad. The convenience of having the technician come to you is included in the price, not added on top. We show the full price in your booking confirmation before we dispatch.
Cash, Visa, MasterCard and LINX for on-the-spot. Bank transfer (RBC, Scotiabank, First Citizens) accepted for both modes — just tell the technician before the repair starts. We don't add card surcharges.
It doesn't happen. We quote one firm price after the diagnostic. If we find something different that changes the price — a bent frame, a second issue, a different part needed — we tell you before any work continues. You say yes or no. The technician never starts work you haven't agreed to.
We check model, storage, battery health, screen condition, body condition and full functionality against current resale demand in Trinidad & Tobago, then give you one firm number — no lowballing after inspection. Indicative prices are on the sell my phone page.
Not before — we'll do the data wipe ourselves as part of the intake, so you can hand it over exactly as you use it. Just make sure you've signed out of iCloud or your Google account and turned off Find My before we arrive, otherwise the buy-back can't proceed.
Yes, for parts value. We buy phones with cracked screens, dead batteries, charging issues and water damage — the price is just lower because we're accounting for the cost of repairing it before resale.
Only if the contract is fully paid up and the phone is unlocked. If you're still making monthly payments, the phone technically belongs to the carrier and we can't take it. Once you've paid off the device, your carrier can unlock it for free or a small fee — then book a buy-back.
Working phones are wiped, refurbished if needed, and resold locally with a 30-day Prolific warranty, only against manufacturing defects. Phones beyond repair are parted out — screens, batteries, cameras and boards go into our repair pipeline for customers who need a part rather than a new device.
You can get an indicative range based on model, storage and condition you describe. The final number always depends on the physical inspection — we won't quote a firm price for a phone we haven't seen, because honest pricing means honest looking.
WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us — most messages get a reply the same day during opening hours (Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 5 PM).
